Qatar's Nakilat: one of our vessels attacked by unknown objects in the Persian Gulf
Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) said one of its vessels was attacked by unknown objects while sailing in the Persian Gulf last Friday evening.

Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) said one of its vessels was attacked by unknown objects in the Persian Gulf.
According to the company's statement, the attack took place last Friday, on the evening of 30 October, while the vessel was sailing in the Persian Gulf. No further details were given on the name of the vessel, the damage or the condition of the crew.
Nakilat is the state company that operates Qatar's gas carriers and owns one of the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier fleets.
The company's vessels were also attacked earlier this year. On 7 July, the LNG carrier Al Rekayyat was hit by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Nakilat said at the time that none of the crew members were injured and that there was no environmental impact.
Incidents involving ships in the region have increased in recent days. On 31 October, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that a fourth tanker had exploded in the Strait of Hormuz and that 8 tankers had exploded in the past 48 hours. On 1 November, the Sirik port administration of Hormozgan province said a fire broke out at around 07:00 on a fuel-carrying vessel 2 miles off the coast of Ziarat village, and that the crew had made no call for rescue assistance.
