Central Bank backs limits on card-to-card transfers
Central Bank of Azerbaijan Governor Taleh Kazimov said the limits of five incoming transfers a day and 20,000 manats a month are the banking sector's own decision.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan supports the restrictions commercial banks have imposed on card-to-card money transfers, the bank's governor Taleh Kazimov said at a press conference on 29 October.
According to Kazimov, the introduction of limits of five incoming transfers a day and 20,000 manats a month is the banking sector's own decision.
“We understand that a parent sending money to their child or money transfers between friends are normal. But it is not normal for a person who is not engaged in business to receive money on their card five times every day,” Kazimov stressed.
