TRIPP is a transit route project that will link mainland Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Armenia's Syunik (Zangezur) region. The project was included in the joint declaration signed in Washington on 8 August 2025 by Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
At that meeting, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan, initialled the text of the peace agreement between the two countries. The declaration states that the route will be opened on the basis of respect for Armenia's sovereignty and jurisdiction.
