Explosions in Najran and southern Saudi Arabia after attack by Yemeni Armed Forces

The Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the city of Najran in southern Saudi Arabia with missiles in the afternoon of 7 November. Explosions were heard in Najran and in southern Saudi Arabia after the attack.

Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense announced that it had sounded an alarm to warn of a possible threat in Najran. No official information has yet been released on the outcome of the attack, damage or casualties.

This is another attack by the Yemeni side on Saudi territory during the day. In the morning, the Yemeni army attacked the Saudi capital Riyadh with a kamikaze drone, and later explosions were heard in the city of Jizan and in the south of the country following an attack by the Yemeni Armed Forces.

On the same day, Saudi aircraft carried out strikes on several areas in Yemen. The Yemeni Ministry of Health said that 52 civilians, including women and children, were killed or wounded when homes were targeted in the Bani Hushaysh district east of Sanaa. In northern Lahij province, a woman was killed and the solar system of a water project was destroyed in Saudi strikes; the Harf Sufyan district of Amran province was also hit by air strikes.

Najran is a province in south-western Saudi Arabia near the Yemeni border, and the city that serves as its capital. Like Jizan province, Najran lies in the border region with Yemen and has repeatedly been targeted by missiles and drones launched from Yemen in the past.
