Occupation forces withdraw from Hebron after 10-day military operation
The governor of Hebron said occupation forces have withdrawn from the city after a military operation that lasted 10 days, and that families forced to leave their homes can return.

Israeli occupation forces have withdrawn from the city of Hebron in the West Bank after a military operation that lasted 10 days, the governor of Hebron said on November 2.
The governor added that families who had been forced to leave their homes can return to them following the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the city.
The operation began after two Israeli soldiers were killed on October 23 when two Palestinian gunmen opened fire near Hebron. Three more soldiers were wounded in that attack, and both gunmen were killed.
During the operation, some of the city's residents were removed from their homes. Hebron Mayor Yousef al-Ja'bari had said about 2,200 people were forced from their homes and that residents could neither enter nor leave the city. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had put the figure at about 2,000.
According to the Hebron municipality, about 35 hectares were destroyed or marked for demolition during the operation. Hebron is one of the largest cities in the West Bank.
