Kazakhstan: Oil flow via Atyrau–Samara pipeline temporarily halted after drone attack
Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry said oil transportation through the pipeline was temporarily suspended after a drone attack on facilities of Russia's Samara production and dispatch hub.

Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry said on November 2 that oil transportation through the Atyrau–Samara pipeline had been temporarily suspended after a drone attack on facilities of the Samara production and dispatch hub in Russia.
The ministry's statement gave no information on the damage caused by the attack, whether anyone was injured, or when transportation would resume.
The Atyrau–Samara pipeline links the Kazakh city of Atyrau with the Russian city of Samara. In Samara, Kazakh oil is fed into the trunk pipeline system of Russia's Transneft.
The route is one of Kazakhstan's oil export routes alongside the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), the country's main export route, which carries oil to a terminal near the Russian port of Novorossiysk.
This year, loadings at the CPC terminal were halted several times after drone attacks on the consortium's infrastructure, and during that period Kazakhstan said it had increased oil supplies via the Atyrau–Samara route.
