Russian Defence Ministry: Kyiv CHP-6, Kharkiv industrial zone and cargo ship near Odesa hit overnight
Russia's Defence Ministry said overnight strikes targeted logistics and energy facilities used in the interests of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

Russia's Defence Ministry said on the morning of October 31 that the Russian Armed Forces had overnight struck logistics and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
According to the ministry, the strikes hit Combined Heat and Power Plant No. 6 (CHP-6) in Kyiv, which supplies electricity to military logistics facilities.
The ministry also said that workshops and warehouses were hit in Kharkiv's "Proton" industrial zone, where components for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were being produced. In addition, a dry cargo ship carrying cargo intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit while under way at sea 18 kilometres south of Odesa.
Earlier, on the evening of October 30, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a critical infrastructure facility had been hit after explosions in the capital and that power had gone out in some districts of the city. He later said three drones had hit one of Kyiv's critical facilities, causing problems with the capital's water supply.
According to Klitschko, there was no water on the capital's left bank or in the Pechersk, Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, while pressure dropped in the Sviatoshynskyi, Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Water was restored in the Obolonskyi district and emergency work continued. Air raid alerts over the threat of drones were declared twice in Kyiv during the night and morning.
A day earlier, on October 30, a railway station and a passenger train were hit in the city of Dnipro. Russia has this year repeatedly said it struck cargo ships linked to Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea; in July, the Ukrainian side accused Russia of a deadly strike on a Turkish-owned cargo ship.
The strikes came against the backdrop of diplomatic contacts. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on October 30 that the specific dates of the talks to be held in Abu Dhabi would be announced once confirmed. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on October 31 that the composition of Russia's delegation to the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi would be determined soon.
